decisions

I think we made a smart decision tonight to leave the Shakespeare in the Park version of As You Like It to come home and watch the end of the Yankees/Red Sox game, in which the Yankees kicked ass. Hard. Not that I'm one to pick baseball over Shakespeare on a regular basis... but this production was merely competent and featured a truly bizarre set. The entire audience seemed to exhale with relief when Brian Bedford took the stage as Jaques. "Ah," the crowd seemed to sigh, "a real actor! Finally!" (He did a smashing job with "All the world's a stage...")

Another smart decision of the week was to move swiftly into all things wedding and try to get planning underway. Much of it makes me want to crawl under the covers and hide until J. agrees to elope. Alas, it's off to look at venues on Saturday. With four mothers, three fathers and six sisters between us, we are certainly in for a lot of ideas, opinions, loose talk and worry (and yes, joy).

Let the games (such as they are) begin!

Mrs. Jeter,
(Can I still call you that?) Here is family opinion #328: Move "joy" to the top of your list.
